Skywalk land bridge at Phil Hardberger Park open to public

SAN ANTONIO – The Skywalk will officially open to the community Monday after an opening ceremony attended by community leaders and city officials.

Public officials who spoke at the opening included San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.

The opening of the Skywalk marks completion of construction of the Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge.

The elevated walkway gently climbs 18-feet off the ground, offering spectacular views of the tree canopy and connecting pedestrians to the Land Bridge, which opened in December 2020.

While the bridge will help people move across the park, it is also designed to help animals cross safely.
